Best Forex VPS 2026: how to choose one

What actually matters when you pick a VPS for MT4, MT5 and Expert Advisors, and when GhostRDP is (and isn't) the right fit.

  • Updated for 2026
  • For MT4, MT5 and cTrader
  • Germany and the Netherlands

Six things to check before you buy

  • Distance to your broker
The closer the VPS is to your broker's trade servers, the faster your orders arrive. Ask your broker where its servers are, then pick a VPS location near them.
  • Windows Server
MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5 and cTrader are Windows programs. A Windows VPS lets you run them exactly as on your PC, through Remote Desktop.
  • Enough memory for your terminals
Every terminal with charts and Expert Advisors uses memory. Count how many terminals you run and leave headroom, or pick a provider that lets you upgrade without reinstalling.
  • Always on
The whole point is that your EA keeps running when your PC is off. Look for KVM virtualization with dedicated resources and DDoS protection.
  • Fast setup and a fair trial
You should be trading within minutes of paying, and be able to get your money back if the server does not suit you.
  • How you pay and what you share
Some providers ask for ID or a phone number. If privacy matters to you, check what is required before you sign up.

Start with your broker's location

Latency is the time your order takes to reach the broker. It depends mostly on physical distance, so the best Forex VPS for you is one that sits near your broker's trade servers. Your broker's support or the server name in MetaTrader usually tells you where they are.

More detail in our guide How to choose the best VPS for Forex trading.

  • Broker servers in Europe
A VPS in Germany or the Netherlands is a short hop away. This is where GhostRDP fits.
  • Broker servers in New York or Asia
Choose a VPS in that region instead. We only host in Europe and won't pretend otherwise.

Forex VPS questions

Still unsure? Our team answers on live chat and in tickets.

What is the best location for a Forex VPS?

The one closest to your broker's trade servers. Many brokers that serve European clients host in or near London, Frankfurt or Amsterdam. Our servers are in Germany and the Netherlands, so they suit those brokers. If your broker's servers are in New York or Asia, a VPS in that region will be faster than ours.

Do I need Windows for MT4 and MT5?

MetaTrader 4 and 5 are Windows applications, so a Windows VPS is the usual choice. You connect to it with Remote Desktop and use MetaTrader like on your own PC.

How many MT4 or MT5 terminals can one VPS run?

It depends on how many charts and Expert Advisors each terminal runs. Smaller plans suit a few terminals; larger plans give more memory and cores for many terminals. You can upgrade a GhostRDP server later without reinstalling.

Is a Forex VPS worth it?

If you run Expert Advisors, copy trading or a prop firm challenge, a VPS keeps them running when your computer is off or your internet drops, and usually gives a shorter, steadier route to the broker than a home connection.

Can I pay for a Forex VPS with crypto?

Yes. GhostRDP takes Bitcoin, Monero, USDT, Ethereum, Litecoin and more through Cryptomus. You only need a username, an email and a password to order.

Trading with a European broker?

Put your EAs on an always-on Windows server in Germany or the Netherlands.
